Whispers Opening

My solo exhibition, Whispers, opened on Tuesday. It was a lovely evening with a great turnout.

I gave a talk about my work, and described the process used to make my photogravure prints.

The exhibition, which is part of the Auckland Festival of Photography, is on until June 14 at the Lake House Arts Centre in Takapuna.

Workshop Fun

Our Winter Workshop series is well underway, and on Sunday we held a 'Photographing Families and Kids Outdoors' workshop.

Our models for the day were the wonderful Morgan Family. Michael, Megan, Jack and Charlie coped admirably with the 'paparazzi' - seven photographers in all!

The weather was not very co-operative - after a gorgeously sunny day it started raining just as the shoot began - but we still had a great time with the two energetic and bubbly boys.

The countdown is on... there are only four days until the opening of my solo exhibition Whispers on Tuesday, 6pm. Everyone is invited and there will be wine and cheese. The location is the Lake House Arts Centre on Fred Thomas Drive, Takapuna.

The exhibition is part of the Auckland Festival of Photography. The works are fine art digital prints and hand-made photogravure prints, and include still life, landscape, and conceptual people photography.

15-day-old smile

Newborn cutie Ariella came to the studio this morning with her Mum Emily and her Dad Steve.

I was pretty impressed that she smiled for the camera - not bad for a little lady who is only 15 days old!

If you're not familiar with Good, it's a fabulous magazine dedicated to the sustainable lifestyle. It is also New Zealand's first carbon-neutral magazine.
