Fusion is here!

A new adventure in my photographic journery has begun...

Fusion is a mixture of still imagery and moving pictures. I've been taking stills for a long time, but I am now starting to take moving images and record audio as well. Blending them all together gives me a powerful way to tell a story.

This is my first fusion video, of my two kids Jasmine and Zachary having fun on a sunny afternoon at the park. Try viewing it a full screen!

A moment in time captured...

At a recent family photo session at the beach, Michael joyfully lifted baby Aveia up into the air. It was a lovely moment, and when I was processing this image, I noticed some gorgeous little details. I love how you can see the sand, backlit beautifully by the late afternoon sun, flying off Aveia's feet.

Discovering these details is like finding a little surprise present under your pillow... I never cease to feel amazed at the way photography can capture a moment like this forever.

The joy...

During my portrait session with Mark and Megan yesterday, I was reminded of the joy of being a kid on a beautiful winter's afternoon... thanks guys!

Beautiful Light, Beautiful Family

Last week, amongst all the horrible weather, I ventured out to the beach with Heather and Jared, and their sweet daughters T'Keiyah and Aiyanah.
The light was exquisite, and the girls took great pleasure in getting completely soaked.

Caleb

One-year-old Caleb brought his Mummy Cheryl and Daddy Cameron to the studio for a family portrait. Aren't his eyes huge and absolutely gorgeous?

Cheryl had her hair and make-up done by the lovely Christelle.

Clever Caleb showed off his newfound walking skills.

Faulkner Family

I had a blast during my recent studio shoot with the Faulkner family.

Teens Alex and Aislinn modelled like professionals as I had fun trying out different moods and lighting patterns.

Clark Family

I had a fabulous shoot with the Clark Family at Karaka Bay.

This beach is one of the places that the Treaty of Waitangi was signed at. It also has special significance for Saffron and Chris, as they got married here.

I loved documenting them sharing this special place with their two gorgeous kids, Caelan and Siahn.

Idyllic Autumn Afternoon

I enjoyed an idyllic autumn afternoon at the beach with the Cordner Family on Sunday.

I had a blast chasing after energetic kids Sam, Tessa and Oscar. I love it when I get to be a big kid again!

Twins on the way...

I photographed gorgeous Mum Kirsten recently with her impressively large bump, her husband Brendan and little boy Sam.

I received exciting news yesterday - twin brothers Ben and Josh have arrived! Congrats Kirsten, Brendan and Sam! I can't wait to meet and photograph your two new family members.
